Housed across four floors in a specially renovated historic building, the museum tells the fascinating story of the settlement of the Roman road station Mansio Sebatum. Numerous extraordinary artifacts from in and around San Lorenzo di Sebato, as well as archaeological findings from the Iron Age and Roman period, paint a vivid picture of life and daily routines at this ancient road station.

Great emphasis has been placed on a clear presentation of the past-present comparison, along with playful and interactive mediation in the museum's exhibition spaces. This ensures an adventurous museum experience. The Roman road station, individual buildings, and residential spaces have been reconstructed both as models and in three-dimensional digital form, allowing visitors to immerse themselves in the world of the Romans.
