Marmolada Glacier Cable Car Mid-Station, Province of Belluno, Italy

Renovation and expansion of the highest museum in Europe, located at the Punta Serauta mountain station at 2,950 m above sea level. In the midst of the former war front (1915–1917), visitors—mostly ski tourists, mountaineers, day-trippers, and school groups—experience the memory of this dramatic past. Crevasses, cold stations, the noise of bombs, wooden barracks, narrow passages, and original relics form the scenographic elements.
