Beer spies and shrimp breeders – Bavarians economy 1818–2018
Long before the slogan "Laptop and Lederhosen" was pronounced, the Bavarians tried to achieve progress by tradition. Today, Bavaria is a place of longing not only because of its landscapes, but also because of the many job opportunities in the economy. How this came about is shown in the exhibition with many Bavarian productions, new discoveries and the premiere of a media station which, when completed, will enable visitors to experience every Bavarian town in comparison from 1900 to today.

Concept: A typical buzzword which one associates with business and industry is dynamism, is movement; the word progress already contains the moving, "to go" and "to step" in the double sense. We wanted to demonstrate this dynamic, and since these pioneering achievements, these inventions, which are the driving force behind the economy, can reach gigantic proportions, we wanted to include "movement" and "size" as basic elements in the design of the exhibition. Huge wheels stand in the Zollinger Halle, the themes develop in and around them. A snapshot, a short standstill, and as soon as you have left the hall, the circular modules rotate again, they start working again!
